Nominations for 2011 Board of Directors

Morgan Hill Pop Warner will be holding open nominations for the 2011 Board of Directors, nomination deadline is on Thursday October 14th, 2010.

Persons nominated must have been notified and willing to run for Board Position.
RULES
  • Election will be held October 16th 2010 at our Week 7 Home Game.  Votes may be cast at the game.

  • One vote per adult per family.
  • If you cannot attend these games and would like to vote, please contact KELLY DUNHAM directly for an alternative voting arrangement.
  • The results of this election will be posted on our website the week following the election.
  • All positions are open except President and Treasurer, which are currently in the second year of a two year term.
 

This is an open nomination, so if you or someone you know would like to run for a position on this board or you have any questions concerning these nominations, please contact one of the people listed below.  Individuals holding elected positions are required to participate in all fundraisers, file monthly reports, attend monthly meetings, and are able to perform their respective board position effectively.

The following is a list of open positions along with the "general" duties these positions entail:

Note: In 2010, the Vice President and the Secretary will be serving the second year of their term.

VICE PRESIDENT

  • Two-Year Term (2011-2012)
        • Acts as liason between parents, football coaches, and board.
        • Responsible for securing all fields and facilities and assigning practice areas.
        • Work with the Equipment Director on securing and certifying equipment.
        • Conduct Coaches Meetings as required.
        • Responsible for interfacing with referees and football coaches for each game.

 

SECRETARY

  • Two-Year Term (2011-2012)
    • Shall keep the official minutes of all Board Meetings
    • See that all notices are duly given with provisions of by-laws
    • Shall be the custodian of the corporate records
    • Assist in counting votes at elections
    • Maintain the official list of all members in good standing of the association

BOYS’ ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

  • One Year Term
  • Acts as liaison between parents, football coaches, and board.
  • Responsible for securing all fields and facilities and assigning practice areas.
  • Work with the Equipment Director on securing and certifying equipment.
  • Conduct Coaches Meetings as required.
  • Responsible for interfacing with referees and football coaches for each game.

GIRLS’ ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

  • One Year Term
  • Acts as liason between parents, cheer/dance coaches, and board.
    • Responsible for soliciting Head Coaches.
    • Conduct Coaches Meetings as required.
    • Takes input on rule changes
    • Assists with annual sign-ups
    • Participates in Budget Committee
    • Participates, organizes, and oversees Cheer/Dance Competitions

 

FUNDRAISER DIRECTOR

  • One Year Term
    • Responsible for all fundraising activity within league
    • Participates in annual budget
    • Responsible for actively soliciting Corporate Sponsors
    • Provides monthly report to Board of Directors

EQUIPMENT DIRECTOR

  • One Year Term
    • Responsible for maintaining annual inventory of league owned equipment
    • Responsible for competitive purchasing of equipment
    • Handles all equipment correspondence
    • Participates in Budget Committee provides the estimated expense for football equipment.

VOLUNTEER DIRECTOR

  • One Year Ter
    • Establishes schedule for volunteer workers.
    • Responsible for working closely with Fundraiser Director

 

SCHOLASTIC DIRECTOR

  • One Year Term
    • Responsible for collecting all participants report cards
    • Represents association at all Peninsula Conference Scholastic Meetings
    • Member of Peninsula Conference Scholastic Committee
